Most of us know that purchasing PhotoPass is a great way to get so many family photos throughout the Disney World Resort without having someone get left out or asking another guest to take to your photo.  I am positive that we all have gotten at least one photo with Cinderella’s Castle in the background.

Classic PhotoPass with Cinderella's Castle in background.

Or Spaceship Earth…Or the Sorcerer’s Hat…Or The Tree of Life.

Even multiple photos of characters!

But some of the greatest PhotoPass photos are ones that are more creative.  Don’t be surprised if a Disney PhotoPass Photographer asks you to pose is a strange position.  Go along with it!!!  You may know what to expect later or you just maybe surprised when you receive your PhotoPass photos after your vacation.

Some of the cool poses are: being asked to cup your hands, or point to the ground and look surprised, or being asked to cradle absolutely nothing in your arms.  And the results?

I remember an especially wonderful pose the PhotoPass Photographer asked my family to do.  She posed the kids strangely at first, and then asked my husband and I to do our best “Disney” kiss.  She then proceeded to take a bunch of photos, saying, “Hold it, Hold it!”  We ended up with several awesome photos and a few especially funny ones. Well, see for yourself!

We were even asked to do almost the same pose in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  And that photo I was able to crop and make black and white, making it especially wonderful for our 15th Anniversary.

So, remember to not only get those “classic” photos, but also have FUN!  If you want something specific, never be afraid to ask the photographer.  They are there for YOU.  And I am sure you want to get your monies’ worth.  My family has not been sorry yet!

Please share any unique special poses a Disney Photographer did for you.  I would love to hear all about them!

    Hi There!

My name is Lin and I’m the founder and heart behind DisneyMamas.com. I’m so glad you stopped by!

    My precious family

A Disney fan from birth,  I’ve made more than two dozen pilgrimages to my second home, Walt Disney World, with a handful of visits to Disneyland and Disney Cruise Line thrown in for good measure. Currently, I reside 1,162 miles from the World near Dallas, TX.

My usually willing, lifelong travel partner & husband is Chris, who’s Disney fandom is growing with every trip. Together we are raising two Disney-nuts-in-training: Connor and Logan. Connor’s passion of the moment is playing Sorcerer’s of the Magic Kingdom. Logan just wants to share your snack and ride it’s a small world.

Besides moming and blogging, I’m is also a high school theatre teacher by day and Disney and Universal travel agent by night for Once Upon a Time Vacations.
