I often am asked how I get empty park shots. Do I work for Disney? No. Do I have special access? I wish. One thing I don’t think people realize is when the parks close, you don’t necessarily have to leave immediately. It still takes quite some time for all the guests to le

If you are like me, I plan my arrival and departure times for our Walt Disney World vacations to ensure maximum park time.  This means arriving early, before check-in is available, and departing late, after check-out.  Since we typically drive to Walt Disney World from Texas, and thus

It’s always a great idea to have any special occasions noted on your Disney reservation.  Sometimes you will receive a special pin on arrival to your resort.  Wearing that pin may just surprise you later while in a park or dining. My son was wearing his Happy Birthday pin at Le

Have you ever wondered (those of you that are old enough to remember) why the Mickey Head balloons are now floating in a crystal ball? In the early days of the Disney parks they sold the Mickey balloons alone, simply tied to their string and it was this way for years. Guest Services,

This photo of the newly installed dueling Dumbos was actually taken when New Fantasyland was still in previews and not yet open to the public. You’ll notice that in this picture the Dumbo sign hasn’t even been installed yet! For this shot I used my Nikon D800 with a 14-24

Hi There!

My name is Lin and I’m the founder and heart behind DisneyMamas.com. I’m so glad you stopped by!

My precious family

A Disney fan from birth,  I’ve made more than two dozen pilgrimages to my second home, Walt Disney World, with a handful of visits to Disneyland and Disney Cruise Line thrown in for good measure. Currently, I reside 1,162 miles from the World near Dallas, TX.

My usually willing, lifelong travel partner & husband is Chris, who’s Disney fandom is growing with every trip. Together we are raising two Disney-nuts-in-training: Connor and Logan. Connor’s passion of the moment is playing Sorcerer’s of the Magic Kingdom. Logan just wants to share your snack and ride it’s a small world.

Besides moming and blogging, I’m is also a high school theatre teacher by day and Disney and Universal travel agent by night for Once Upon a Time Vacations.
