Fun Fact Friday – Tower of Terror Meets The Twilight Zone

If you have ever experienced the Tower of Terror at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios or Disneyland’s California Adventure theme parks you know that it is heavily influenced by Rod Serling’s The Twilight Zone, but did you know that there are references to the Twilight Zone sprinkled throughout the entire attraction? One of our favorites is in the unloading area. Just outside of the elevator, as you get off the ride, there is an inspection certificate dated October 31, 1939 and is signed by “Cadwallader”. Cadwallader is a character in an episode of The Twilight Zone titled “Escape Clause”, who turns out to be the devil. The inspection certificate number is 10259, which stands for October 2, 1959 and is date the first Twilight Zone episode premiered.
