May the Fourth Be With You

Only once a year does the famed Star Wars saying of “May The Force Be With You” turns into an iconic day of May The Fourth Be With You. My son calls this day the best day ever because it’s Star Wars Day!!!  May the Fourth is a time to honor and appreciate all things Star Wars. And only Walt Disney World can appropriately honor Star Wars with four weekends full of Star Wars festivities.

Star Wars Weekends are without a doubt the most amazing Disney times for your greatest Star Wars fan!

Star Wars Weekends this year are May 17th-June 9th, and are held at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You are still required to have park entry ticket for the day, but the event itself doesn’t require a special ticket.  You are greeted at the Studios gates by Storm Troopers on guard, and if you will experience a very special show atop the Hollywood Studios Marquee about 30 minutes prior to park opening.  When you enter the park be sure to grab a special park schedule. This schedule has complete times of where the characters & celebrities will be for autographs and photos, as well as any special show information. And don’t forget your PhotoPass!

The weekends are full of special events and celebrity experiences, and I will be posting about them in the days to come, but my boys two favorite events of the weekends are the special Star Wars Motorcade Parade in the afternoon and the Hyperspace Hoopla Dance Party each night.  Imagine the sound of the Storm Troopers of the 501st marching down Hollywood Blvd. at attention!  My boys absolutely love it!  Numerous Star Wars characters walk the parade route, interacting with guests along the way, and the weekends celebrities make their appearance by way of convertible cars.  Then, to cap off your day enjoy the Hyperspace Hoopla Dance Party with the entire family!

Be sure to wear your best Star Wars attire. You will see people dressed up in everything from a Star Wars t-shirt to full costumes! Have fun with the weekend and enjoy celebrating Star Wars!

About the Author
Sharron currently resides in the big old state of Texas. She is a busy mom to three kids, a wife, scrapbooker, taking charge over my Star Wars obsessed boys, lover of all things Disney, and pretty good ameteur chef. She is also an advocate for families with food allergies in how to cope with, travel, and meal plan. She was diagnosed with Celiac disease a few years ago and her son has a peanut allergy. So keeping a family safe and happily fed is high priority. My all time favorite thing to is talk about, write about, watch, and plan all things Disney.

    Hi There!

My name is Lin and I’m the founder and heart behind DisneyMamas.com. I’m so glad you stopped by!

    My precious family

A Disney fan from birth,  I’ve made more than two dozen pilgrimages to my second home, Walt Disney World, with a handful of visits to Disneyland and Disney Cruise Line thrown in for good measure. Currently, I reside 1,162 miles from the World near Dallas, TX.

My usually willing, lifelong travel partner & husband is Chris, who’s Disney fandom is growing with every trip. Together we are raising two Disney-nuts-in-training: Connor and Logan. Connor’s passion of the moment is playing Sorcerer’s of the Magic Kingdom. Logan just wants to share your snack and ride it’s a small world.

Besides moming and blogging, I’m is also a high school theatre teacher by day and Disney and Universal travel agent by night for Once Upon a Time Vacations.
