It’s always a great idea to have any special occasions noted on your Disney reservation. Sometimes you will receive a special pin on arrival to your resort. Wearing that pin may just surprise you later while in a park or dining.
My son was wearing his Happy Birthday pin at Le Chef de France, and several waitstaff came out and sung “Happy Birthday” to him in French while serving his dessert to him with a candle inserted.
My husband and I celebrated our 15th anniversary while on vacation one year. We received pins too but did not wear them. I made sure to tell our server that it was our anniversary. Dessert time rolled around, and this yummy dessert came out for me. My husband had another dessert with a cute added anniversary note too.

Words of warning. DO let waitstaff know of your special occasion but please never expect any magical happenings. But when they do happen, they are even more special!
