I’m really, really excited by the new Disney initiative, Disney Screen! Disney Screen is bringing classic Disney films back to Cinemark theatres, and is currently testing the concept in only 6 US markets, with Plano, Texas being one of them! Over the next month we’ll see 16 Disney & Pixar classic films brought to life on the big screen, for a limited engagement only. Each week from July 31st through August 27th we will see a new theme, with each theme featuring 4 animated films; new films premiere each Friday.
What is Disney Screen?
Disney Screen is a first-of-its-kind membership program and ensures there’s always something for families at the movies. It’s the perfect family activity!
- Each day, Disney Screen will host four classic Disney films with new films premiering each Friday!
- Show Times: 10:30AM, 1:15PM, 4:00PM and 7:00PM daily.
- Each week features a different theme. August themes include: Music Week, Dog Week, Animal Week and Pixar Week
- Films are available all day, every day for a great price.

- Passes are available for a quarter, month, week or simply for a day!
- Quarterly Pass – $40 for unlimited admission for three months
- Monthly Pass – $20 for unlimited admission for one month
- Weekly Pass – $10 for unlimited admission for seven days
- Daily Pass – $5 for 4 movies in one great day!
- All passes/prices are per person
Where is my local Disney Screen happening?
Disney Screen is testing right here in North Texas at the Cinemark 24 in Plano! Disney Screen is also being tested near Chicago, Cleveland, Orlando and Las Angeles.

Funny(ish) story! When I worked at Disney Store I literally had to leave the sales floor when the preview for 8 Below came on! It made me cry! I don’t do well in dog movies. LOL. Good luck!

I would love to see them ALL, but of really love to see Dumbo, since I wrote out my VHS copy when I was 4. Then again, The Little Mermaid holds a special place in my heart too… Oh I just can’t decide!!
