The Blogorail is sharing ideas for the perfect date night at Disney. Welcome aboard!
One of my favorite things to do at Walt Disney World is have a special evening out with my husband. One of our most romantic Disney Date Nights has been celebrating our anniversary at Narcoossee’s, located along the water at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The atmostphere is lovely, food is wonderful, and if you time it right the view of the Electric Water Parade and Wishes from the patio are simply magical.
Our evening at Narcoossee’s was nothing short of wonderful. We had made sure to note that we were celebrating our anniversary on our reservation, and when we arrived we were greeted at the check-in platform by the Maitre ‘De who escorted us to a table right along the window with a perfect view of Magic Kingdom. Already placed on our table was a rose in a bud vase and two personalized menus congratulating us on our anniversary and detailing the dining options for the evening. Our waitress arrived at our table with two glasses of champagne in hand, and again congratulated us on our anniversary. It is very important to note here that this is not something that is ever guaranteed at any Disney dining establishment, and we were very lucky to be so wonderfully recognized at Narcoossee’s. It is quite possibly the reason that this particular anniversary still stands out in my mind; we have celebrated several anniversaries at Walt Disney World and this is the only one that went above and beyond to ensure a magical experience.
Chris and I enjoyed both our experience at Narcoossee’s and the amazing food. Chris loved his Black Angus New York Strip Steak with Butter-poached Maine Lobster Tail, and I thoroughly enjoyed my Pan-seared Georges Bank Day Boat Scallops. Desserts were, of course, my favorite part of the meal though and ours were presented with a special message written in chocolate on the plate. My Almond Crusted Cheesecake was amazing.
Narcoossee’s is a Walt Disney World signature restaurant, meaning it will require the use of two table-service credits under the Disney Dining Plan. The menu features delicious seafood entrees, with assorted other dishes such as steak and pasta for balance. The menu is not the largest on Walt Disney World property but it is varied and expertly crafted. As a Disney Signature Restaurant, Narcoossee’s does feature a business casual dress code. Men are encouraged to wear slacks, jeans or dress shorts with a collared shirt, while women are encouraged to wear dresses, skirts or dress shorts and a nice top or sweater. Diners should not arrive in cut-offs, swimwear, tank tops or hats. Narcoossee’s is a wonderful alternative to the often-impossible-to-get reservation for California Grill, and makes for a wonderful and memorable Disney Date Night.

I would love the location and the view, but the fanciness and the seafood, not so much! That cheesecake does look pretty amazing, though!
We have yet to have dinner at Narcoossees. It looks so wonderful and the sunset from there is breathtaking. Will need to add it to my next trip!
